2000 Years of Fulfilled Prophecy

Two Thousand Years of Fulfilled Prophecy...

For two thousand years,
Jesus has relieved man’s tears,
taking all our fears!

Still reflecting on the subject of fulfilled prophecy...
there are Two significant prophecies that stand out as having commenced fulfillment in the days of the early church, and are still being fulfilled today
as we enter into the third millennium.

The first written by the prophet Joel concerns the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which commenced at Pentecost and still continues as the final judgment approaches. This prophecy leads directly into the descriptive events of the Day of the Lord and is referred to in the Acts account of Pentecost. It carries with it the wonderful reminder that whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be delivered.

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Joel 2:28-32 & (Acts 2:17-20)

The second prophecy taken from the Gospel of Mark, is the words of Jesus regarding the great commission of the Church, the preaching of the gospel to All the world. This covers the same time span as the previous prophecy and once again is being fulfilled with continual anointing and blessing today. It carries with it the solemn warning that he that believeth not shall be damned!

According to Websters Encyclopedia, (circa1996), the Bible...
has been translated into 1500 languages with 261 complete translations carried out. With less than 50% of the present population of the world having actually heard of the Gospel, there still remains therefore unprecedented opportunity for evangelism as these prophecies continue in their fulfillment.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Mark 16:15-20

Considering the parenthesis or lull in prophetic fulfillment throughout the church-age up to these present end-times.
These two great prophecies provide a suitable link, giving continuity, between the brief overview of fulfilled prophecy through Jesus Christ and with the fulfilled prophecy of the return of the Jewish people to Israel, being reborn as a nation since May 1948.
