Trust...

Just who can we trust,
in a world that’s so unjust?
Trust in God you must!

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Psalms 20:7

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
Isaiah 31:1

Definition: Confidence reliance on the integrity, honesty, or justice of another; faith; To expect with confidence & hope; To depend upon.

Quote...
G.K. Chesterton
"The Church tells us we must not count on the certainty of comforts becoming more common or cruelties more rare, as if there was an inevitable trend toward a sinless humanity. We must not hate humanity, or despise humanity, or refuse to help humanity. But we must not trust humanity."
G.K. Chesterton

So even if mankind can be described as the crowning glory of God’s creation...
He has however, one fatal flaw, ...that he cannot be trusted!

Trustworthiness is an essential quality of character in any civilised society...
Trust can only be established & earned over a proven period of time...
Trust cannot be asked, demanded or bought by one person of another...
Trust is reinforced through years of demonstrated reliability & integrity...

Trust can be undermined or destroyed by one act of madness or folly...

...reparation and restoration sometimes taking many years of effort.

Quote...
Everything we are called upon to do in the Army requires teamwork, and teamwork is built on a foundation of trust and confidence within units - - between soldier and soldier, between leader and led, and between units who see themselves serving side-by-side. That trust and confidence emerges from our daily commitment to our Army values: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage. Without trust, there can be no dignity and respect for the individual soldier, and cohesion and morale in our units would suffer.

Barbed Wire

Every new prison, every new security device & camera is testament to the absence of trust.

Barbed Wire

With every new surveillance camera and security device making the heathen feel that much more civilised. When in fact each new edition to this diabolical big brother system is a damning indictment against a sinful mankind who cannot be trusted.

Even this computer, (upon which this 'web-site' is being prepared), presently has 1 Billion + reasons why man cannot be trusted. They're called computer viruses, malware programmes i.e. designed with malicious intent for the purpose of causing harm and disruption to the unsuspecting recipient.
Thanks to Norton Anti-virus, (& other similar companies) there is a level of control and management of this problem. But once again we have here an example of employment and industry being geared up specifically to compensate for man's lack of trustworthiness.

From the board room to the gutter, from Westminster to Brussels from the White House to the Kremlin, just who can be trusted?

Barbed Wire

With companies even spying on their own employees... husbands & wives & "partners" spying on their respective spouses. The all seeing eye scrutinising the citizen, on the street, in banks, shops & malls, offices, leisure complexes, car parks, service stations, airports, rail stations, seaports, sheltered housing, factories, motorways etc. This apparent need for the reassuring and watchful eye of CCTV has now reached such epidemic proportions that we could well ask is this the age of paranoia?

With the approaching totalitarian New World Order implementing a most rigid system of control & surveillance, the question should be asked: Who will watch the watchman?
